I don't know about you but waking up early in the morning is not my cup of tea! Every morning when I wake up I have to give myself a pep-talk to open my eyes lol.
I used to be so envious of those who woke up at 5:00 AM and got all the things done before the world was awake. I wondered HOW IN THE WORLD DO THEY DO IT!?!? I couldn't figure it out to save my life.
After a bit of research I finally found the answer. They simply figure out a routine that makes it easier to wake up and get their day started. It's literally as simple as that!
How I Wake Up Motivated
Over the past few months I have developed a solid routine that allows me to be up by 5:30 AM Monday-Friday as I allow myself to sleep in on the weekends. I'm not going to lie though, waking up early is never easy girl. Every morning I have a pep talk with myself to open my eyes lol but I push myself because I know how beneficial it is. So now let's dive into how I wake up motivated!
CREATE A TO DO LIST!
The very first thing I do the night before is write out my to-do list. I like to use a system similar to the one shown here as it allows me set me top three priorities for that day and schedule the rest of the day accordingly.
I find that by creating a to-do list it allows me not only organize my day but also to complete my tasks more effectively.
This is so imperative in my opinion to becoming more motivated for my day.
Set out your things the night before
Let me tell you how much this step has helped me in the morning! Every night I set out my workout clothes, which helps me to be prepared for my morning workout, I set out my clothes for work, that way I don't have to think about it in the morning and I set out all my accessories (shoes, purse, jewelry).
The mere fact that I don't have to think about what I'm gong to wear in the morning is a lifesaver and honestly a time saver! The one thing I've noticed is that the more you can plan ahead the more motivated you'll be in the morning.
Prepare your meals ahead of time
One of my favorite things to do is meal prepping. I don't know there's something so relaxing about cooking to me.
Now I'm going to forewarn you that meal prepping is tedious and takes a lot of patience but having your meals planned out, especially breakfast and lunch, is one of the best things you could do. Not only does it give you your time back but you save so much money!
Get Enough Sleep
The MOST important tip I can give you is to have a good nights rest! The nights I don't get enough sleep I wake up in such a grumpy mood and my day is so off. I try to get to bed by 10:30 PM the latest to be up by 5:30 AM. Having enough rest is essential to having a productive day. Aim for 6-7 hours each night.
